One of my personal favorite internet games, Smileys War is the best shooter/platformer on the web. You take control of a “smiley” – you know, those happy little yellow balls you use in instant messaging – and kill everyone else in sight. Nine weapons are available, ranging from pistols to exploding maracas.
A challenging and well-made campaign mixed with unlockables mean that there’s a good chance you’ll come back to this game often. Also, a Stage Creation feature is available, and with a few trials-and-errors you can get your own killing field set up in no time. In terms of controls, A and D move left to right, W jumps, and the mouse handles aiming and shooting. To switch weapons, press the numbers 1-9.
Smileys War fast-paced, choatic, and awesome. Plus, this game wasn’t banned on my old school’s computers. How can you go wrong with that?
