Whoa… “Paper Planes” is in Record of the Year? What!? And what’s with all this pop rap all over the place? Ugh… at least The Raconteurs got nominated in the “Best Rock Album” category. I was afraid their excellent Conselors of the Lonely would go unnoticed. Now I’m feeling compelled to write a review of it for Frayed Wire here to sort of… raise awareness? Anyway, just like I thought, Coldplay and Lil Wayne are getting way more attention than they deserve. Aw well, I’ll watch the Grammy’s when they’re on TV nonetheless mostly to see what’s going on in the way of rock… and maybe pop.
